Royal Palm Press, Inc. was incorporated in 1997 to help fulfill the publishing industries need for short-run, print-on-demand book manufacturing.

Changes in the printing technology have made it economically feasible for publishers to shorten their press runs from minimums of 1,000-2,000 units that at the time would have to be warehoused and generally leave them with remainders that they could not sell. The new age of digital printing allowed the publisher to print as few as 10-20 copies to satisfy their customers needs. This was the birth of the POD or print-on-demand market, whether it be for pre-publication galleys, titles with a very limited audience, or older titles that had gone out of print but still had a limited demand.

Technology never stops, and the quality of todays digital printers is on par with that of offset printing, yet much more cost effective for the shorter press runs. At Royal, we offer perfect bound, spiral bound, and casebound books. Twenty years ago, 50 copies of a casebound book was unheard of as the cost of manufacturing was too great, today this is performed routinely..

With every new generation of digital printers, both color and black and white, the quality of screens, half-tones and print in general improves. Royal Palm Press is now entering it's fifteenth year and has continually kept pace with the ever-changing landscape of technology and customer demand. Staffed with seasoned professionals with a combined total of hundreds of years of book printing experience, their ability to produce a quality book is beyond reproach.
